Mitsubishi Power Systems Europe, a fast expanding division of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, has been formed to develop MHI’s presence in Europe in the field of power systems and services supply.
As part of this development MPSE are going through ISO accreditation standards (9000: 14000; 18000) and they identified the need for a highly structured EDM (Electronic Document Management) solution that would cope with the specific requirements of the business, meet the ISO standards and be developable across Europe. The system also had to link in with the parent companies Lotus notes system, with the ability to capture and monitor all email traffic for the division.
John Osgerby, MPSE’s Consultant for the European operation expansion and the ISO program commented-
‘IPC was first choice from a number of suppliers because of their experience and ability to tailor their mstore EDM system to our very specific needs. I see them now as an integral part of the way we will manage our business and it’s information deployment and availability’
Graham Light (IPC) said ‘We are delighted to have been awarded this contract, which will see deployment of our EDM solution (mstore) across Europe on a rolling basis. Having the ability to meet the MPSE’s exacting requirements was key to this contract win and proves again that having a UK software base product that can be tailored to meet client needs – as opposed to most package solutions – is more often than not the determining factor in delivering the right business benefits’.
