Is ‘forms scanning’ a service which is provided by a document scanning bureau?

Any organisation which handles large volumes of forms will usually send them to a document scanning bureau to be either scanned or scanned and processed.
Paper forms which need to be retained for lengthy periods of time take up a large amount of storage space and need resources to file, maintain and retrieve them – this can be very time consuming and costly.
For this reason many businesses choose to store their completed forms electronically and will outsource the scanning to a bureau. Some scanning bureaux will also be able to process the forms using forms processing software. The forms will be scanned and the software will automatically extract data from the fields on the forms and either upload it to a client’s IT system or supply it on an Excel spreadsheet.
