How is confidential document scanning carried out?
by Web Admin
Confidential document scanning is the scanning of highly sensitive material such as medical records, personnel files or even laboratory handbooks.
When confidential paperwork is scanned in a document scanning bureau it is handled by experienced and fully trained operatives who have signed confidentiality agreements. The documents are usually delivered to the bureau in sealed crates and then stored in a secure, alarmed room before and after the scanning process.
When the paperwork has been scanned, indexed and quality checked, the images will be delivered either via a secure web link or on CD or DVD. For additional security the data can also be encrypted.
Post scanning the documents can be returned to the client in the sealed crates or confidentially shredded. As soon as the quality of the images has been approved, all scanned data is erased from the scanning company’s server to ensure that the data can no longer be accessed.
