How many document pages can a CD hold?

Last update on 01/31/2014 by Web Admin.

Typically 11,000 to 17,000 images will fit onto one CD-ROM, However this will vary to a large extent according to the information on each page but typically 20-30 archive boxes of A4 documents can fit on one CD-ROM.

Much larger volumes can be stored on DVD, or other external hard drive devices, so volumes of information to be scanned these days is no real barrier to clients using outsource document scanning facilities. And of course IPC can supply electronic images in other ways e.g. via a hosted web service that provides full EDM facilities, or by putting QA'd and released documents on an IPC server, for access by Client, who can import them into their own server environment.
